Candace Cameron Bure is heading back to The View after all. The Full House star, who turned down an invitation to return for the ABC talk show’s 30th season last month, is now scheduled to appear as a guest on the Friday, 13 November episode. The Candace Cameron Bure View return, confirmed in ABC’s official guest lineup this week, is her first appearance on the show since 2024 — and a neat reversal of a decision she explained only weeks ago.

Bure will appear alongside fellow guest Emma Grede, according to the lineup reported by Parade on 6 November and confirmed in a report from Entertainment Weekly the same day. Her visit is part of The View’s 30th season, which has featured appearances by former co-hosts and other familiar faces as the show marks three decades on air.

The Date That Did Not Work

Bure’s earlier refusal had nothing to do with the show itself — it was about timing. In an interview with Entertainment Weekly in October, she explained that producers had offered her the week her daughter Natasha was due to give birth. “They did reach out to me, and they offered me the week that my daughter gave birth, so I knew that was coming,” she said. “I didn’t want to be far away and miss anything, but I’m definitely open to it.”

Natasha Bure, 27, welcomed her first child — a girl — with her husband Bradley Steven Perry in early October, making Bure, 50, a grandmother for the first time. Bure left the door open in that same interview: “Yeah, you might see me at the table. We’ll see. I feel open to it if they offer up another date.” The new booking suggests the show did exactly that.

A Decade Away From the Table

Bure joined The View as a co-host in 2015 and left the following year, after two seasons at the Hot Topics table — a stint she has since said caused her stress, telling interviewers she hated the feeling of not knowing who was going to “come at me” in a heated debate. The View premiered in 1997 and is now in its 30th season, with former co-hosts including Lisa Ling, Debbie Matenopoulos, Star Jones and Sherri Shepherd also invited back as guests.

Since leaving the panel, Bure has become one of the busiest stars in family television, competing this year on season five of Fox’s Special Forces: World’s Toughest Test and serving as chief content officer of Great American Media. Her Christmas films for Great American Family are out now — A Second Chance Christmas is already airing, with A Sweet Christmas Anniversary following on 27 November. The View appearance, a week before that second film, is a return on her own terms: one table, one morning, and then back to the Christmas schedule.
