The Nintendo Switch 2 will be one of the most sought-after gifts this Black Friday — but shoppers waiting for a price cut on the console itself are likely to be disappointed. Nintendo has not announced one, and the deals on offer are bundles, not discounts.
The standard Switch 2 costs $499.99 in the United States, after Nintendo raised the price by $50 on September 1, 2026, from its $449.99 launch price in June 2025. That is the price shoppers should expect on Black Friday itself, November 27.
What Nintendo is offering instead is value in the box. The Switch 2 plus Mario Kart World bundle costs $549.99 — a saving of $37.98 against buying the console, the game and a three-month Nintendo Switch Online membership separately — and arrives on November 26. The Switch 2 plus Switch Sports Resort bundle costs $529.99, saving $27.98, and is already on sale.
The UK bundles are stronger
British shoppers get a better deal. Nintendo’s UK store is offering a Switch 2 with Mario Kart World, a 256GB Samsung microSD card and a Nintendo Switch 2 Camera for £459.99, and a Switch 2 with Switch Sports Resort, the same card and camera, plus a free gym bag, for £449.99 — savings of around £75.
In Australia, Kmart will sell the Switch 2 and Mario Kart World bundle for $649 AUD from November 26, against a recommended retail price of $839.95 AUD, with three months of Nintendo Switch Online included.
What to watch
Retailers set their own prices, so individual stores may still discount — one marketplace listing had the standalone console at $469, and an AliExpress early sale listed it at $436.43 with a coupon, although warranty coverage on marketplace consoles needs checking. But Nintendo itself has not cut the console, and last year it did not either: on Black Friday 2025 the Switch 2 stayed at its list price and the deals went to games instead. Expect the same pattern this year. Nintendo’s eShop Cyber Deals sale ran from November 20 to December 3 last year, with lower prices on physical Switch games from November 23 — and if the company keeps that schedule, its 2026 sale would run from about November 19 to December 2, although no dates have been announced. For parents buying the console as a gift, the bundle is the deal to watch: $549.99 for the console, Mario Kart World and three months of online membership.
