Andrew Shue Marries Marilee Fiebig Weeks After Their Exes Wed

Spread the love

Andrew Shue and Marilee Fiebig are officially husband and wife. The Melrose Place actor, 59, and the immigration attorney tied the knot on Sunday, November 1, in a low-key ceremony at their country estate outside Stockton, New Jersey, according to People, which confirmed the happy news. The wedding came just days after news of the couple’s engagement became public, and it closes a remarkable chapter for two people whose love story began in the shadow of one of the most talked-about media scandals of recent years.

A romance born from shared heartbreak

Shue was previously married to television presenter Amy Robach, while Fiebig was married to Robach’s former Good Morning America co-anchor T.J. Holmes. When Robach and Holmes’s workplace romance made headlines in November 2022, both marriages ended in divorce in 2023, and Shue and Fiebig found in each other someone who understood exactly what they were going through. Speaking to People last month, Shue reflected on the unlikely journey. ‘We’re very grateful and hopeful. I don’t know how it happened, but there’s a happy ending,’ he said, in comments carried by multiple outlets reporting the wedding.

A full-circle twist

The story carries one more twist that has fans talking: just six weeks before Shue and Fiebig’s wedding, their former spouses quietly tied the knot too. Holmes and Robach married in a private ceremony in Arkansas on September 19, according to their marriage licence, as reported by USA Today. Shue shares three sons with his first wife, Jennifer Hageney, while Fiebig shares a daughter, Sabine, with Holmes. The New Jersey ceremony was described as intimate, surrounded by close family and friends, a fittingly quiet celebration for a couple whose relationship began under the brightest of spotlights.

A new chapter

For Shue, best known to a generation of television viewers as Billy Campbell on Melrose Place, the wedding marks a fresh start. For Fiebig, a respected immigration attorney, it is a rare step into the public eye on her own terms. Friends of the couple say the pair chose their 92-acre estate deliberately, keeping the day private, personal and far removed from the media storm that first brought them together.
