Best Buy has confirmed a month-long Black Friday sale for 2026, with discount events running from the end of October right through December. The schedule, reported by 9to5Toys on October 27 from the company’s announcement, turns Black Friday from a single day into a season of weekly drops.

The calendar starts with DoorBOOsters from October 30 to November 1, timed to Halloween. Early Black Friday Deals and Doorbusters follow on November 6, with new deals dropping every Friday. The main Black Friday Doorbusters and Deals event runs November 19-28, followed by a Cyber Monday Sale Event from November 29, Cyber Week Deals from December 1-6, and a Last-Minute Save Event from December 18-24.

Best Buy said it will have new Doorbusters dropping every week of the month, with what it described as major savings events through December and added rewards for My Best Buy Plus and Total members, according to the announcement.

What to buy, and when

Electronics traditionally peak on Black Friday for televisions and on Cyber Monday for computers, according to Adobe’s seasonal guidance cited in holiday-sale roundups. That pattern suggests patience pays for big-ticket tech: a television deal in the DoorBOOsters week may be beaten in the November 19-28 window, while laptops and accessories may be cheapest in Cyber Week.

The weekly-drop structure also changes the strategy. In past years, shoppers camped on a single ad; this year, the best approach is to check each Friday, when new deals arrive, and to keep receipts — Best Buy’s standard return window is 15 days for most items, far shorter than Walmart’s or Target’s 90 days, so a November purchase bought too early can fall outside the return period before Christmas.

A note on memberships

My Best Buy Plus and Total members get added rewards during the sale, but membership costs money. Before paying for a tier, add up what you actually plan to buy: if the rewards do not exceed the fee on your planned purchases alone, the free tier plus price comparison across retailers is the better deal. And remember the golden rule of electronics sales — a discount on a model you did not want is not a saving, however tempting the holiday spending season makes it look.
