Paramount+ is staying in Tulsa. The streamer has renewed Tulsa King for a fifth season, extending the run of Sylvester Stallone’s fish-out-of-water mob drama, according to renewal announcements tracked by Just Jared and TV Guide. The series follows New York mafia capo Dwight “The General” Manfredi, played by Stallone, who is released from prison after 25 years and unceremoniously exiled by his boss to set up shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Realizing his mob family may not have his best interests at heart, Dwight slowly builds a crew from a group of unlikely characters to establish a new criminal empire in a place that, to him, might as well be another planet.
A cornerstone of the Paramount+ slate
The renewal, dated October 5, 2026, makes Tulsa King one of Paramount+’s most reliable returning dramas. The show sits alongside a busy month of decisions at the streamer, which also handed two more seasons to the animated Avatar: Seven Havens, continuing the story of Avatar Pavi and her twin sister Nisha, and ordered the Avatar Kuruk: Wave of Chaos series.
What season 5 means for Dwight
No premiere date or plot details for season 5 have been announced, but the renewal keeps Stallone’s late-career television chapter rolling. Dwight’s empire-building in Tulsa has become the show’s engine, and a fifth season gives the writers room to test whether the General’s unlikely crew can hold together as rivalries old and new close in. For Paramount+, which has been making a flurry of renewal and cancellation calls this month, Tulsa King is the easy one: a proven performer with a movie star at its center and a premise that still has road left to run.
