A Rekindled Romance
Grande and Alvarez first dated from 2015 to 2016 after meeting while he worked as one of her backup dancers. They later reconnected as friends during her Sweetener Tour, before reportedly rekindling their romance earlier this year following her split from Ethan Slater. The couple were spotted cheering on runners at the New York City Marathon shortly before the Instagram post, and talk of a reunion started in June 2026, when Grande changed the words to her song Thank U, Next during live performances, singing, “I’m tryna make him my last.”
Grande split from her Wicked co-star Slater in June 2026 after nearly three years together. She wrapped up her Eternal Sunshine Tour on 1 September at The O2 Arena in London, and has since been taking a planned break from public-facing work. She is 33; he is 35.
