Kendall Jenner and Jacob Elordi have officially made their Hollywood debut as a couple, attending their first public event together at the Academy Museum Gala in Los Angeles. Jenner, 30, and Elordi, 29, arrived and walked the carpet outside the Academy Museum Gala separately, but were reunited inside the star-studded fundraiser, which supports the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures. The event was hosted by Conan O’Brien and honoured filmmaker and composer John Carpenter, Oscar-nominated actor Colman Domingo and Oscar-winning actress Charlize Theron.
A Night of A-Listers
Taylor Swift was also at the event, and even performed a medley of songs inside the gala, including Blank Space, The Fate of Ophelia, I Knew It, I Knew You and Love Story. Other A-list guests included Janelle Monae, Pamela Anderson, Demi Moore, Elle and Dakota Fanning, Connor Storrie, Hailey Bieber, Andrew Garfield, Teyana Taylor and Amanda Seyfried.
Kim Kardashian was in attendance too, though her partner, Formula 1 driver Lewis Hamilton, apparently did not make the guest list. It was, by any measure, one of the biggest nights on the Hollywood calendar — and the setting Kendall and Jacob chose for their first public outing as a couple.
A Romance Kept Low-Key
The couple have mostly kept their new relationship away from the spotlight, opting for low-key outings and dates that they have kept private. They were first linked romantically after being spotted together at Justin Bieber’s Coachella afterparty in April, and reports have said they have been dating for more than two months.
It has also been reported that Kendall’s younger sister Kylie Jenner played matchmaker for the pair. Kylie knows Elordi through her boyfriend Timothee Chalamet’s acting circle, and decided to push her sister in his direction. A photograph from a trip to Japan, shared by a Tokyo restaurant, had already confirmed the romance to fans. Now, with their gala debut, Kendall and Jacob have made it official in Hollywood’s own way: together, in the room, at the biggest party of the season.
