Beyonce has shared a rare three-generation photograph with her daughter Blue Ivy and her mother Tina Knowles, taken backstage at Jay-Z’s final California shows. The Beyonce Blue Ivy Tina Knowles photo, posted by Beyonce’s stylist Ty Hunter on Instagram on 29 October and widely reported on 3 November 2026, shows the three women standing together in a circle, their hands joined and their heads bowed, seemingly praying for a good show on Jay’s behalf.
Blue Ivy, now 14, stood noticeably taller than both women in the photograph — a detail that drew attention to just how much she has grown. She was dressed casually in a striped jersey, shorts and tan boots, while Beyonce wore a bone-coloured set from the LaPointe Spring/Summer 2027 ready-to-wear collection, a sheer wrap top layered underneath a cropped jacket and paired with matching boyshorts, both decorated with silver gemstones.
Blue Ivy Takes the Stage
Blue Ivy did more than watch her father perform. On the first night of Jay-Z’s back-to-back shows at SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California, the 14-year-old joined him onstage to play the keyboard during two of his songs, “The Story of O.J.” and “Dead Presidents.” She did not perform on the second night, but remained present to support her father from the venue.
The concerts marked two milestones in Jay-Z’s career: 30 years since the release of his debut record, Reasonable Doubt, and 25 years since The Blueprint. Beyonce attended both nights, reuniting with her former Destiny’s Child bandmates Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams, who were also in the cheering section. Tina Knowles came out to watch as well.
A Family Gathering
The last time the trio were seen together was in October, when Beyonce celebrated the opening of the new Knowles-Rowland House in Houston, Texas, travelling there with Blue and her younger daughter Rumi for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. Jay-Z has noted that Blue has perfect pitch and teaches herself songs on the piano without wanting a formal teacher, while Beyonce has described her as a natural artist with great taste in music and fashion.
Beyonce also treated fans to shots of herself and Kelly Rowland dancing along to Jay’s hits at the second show, with Blue joining them in the suite. For a family that guards its privacy fiercely, the three-generation photograph was a rare and generous glimpse — three women, three generations, one circle.
